After a career spanning over three decades in the advertising industry, Rohit Ohri is retiring from his role as global partner at FCB.

Ohri spent eight years at the helm of FCB Group India before being elevated to FCB global partner to bolster the network last year, working closely with global CEO, Tyler Turnbull. Prior to his most recent role he held senior positions at some of the region's leading agencies including as executive chairman at Dentsu for over four years, and managing partner at JWT India, where he worked for over 21 years.

At that time, Ohri was one of the three FCB global partners today, joining New York-based Tina Allan who stepped into the newly created role of head for data science and connections. They were joined by Danilo Boer, the global partner for creative.

FCB shared in a press release that during his time at the agency, Ohri played a key role in steering the company towards growth, and was the driving force behind its successful acquisition of Kinnect. He also spearheaded the creative transformation within the group; leading the agency towards numerous global and local accolades.

Expressed his gratitude and admiration for Ohri's contribution, FCB global CEO Tyler Turnbull said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rohit in India and in our offices across the world for the past nine years and can safely say his contribution has been invaluable. Not only did he play an integral role in helping FCB become the creative powerhouse it is today, but he’s helped set the company up to thrive for many years to come and taught me a few things along the journey too. Rohit is a great leader, and more importantly, a great person, so it truly has been a privilege to have him as part of the network.”

Ohri added, "When I joined FCB in 2016, my mission was clear: to transform the agency’s creative reputation and make it future-ready. This mission was proven a success when FCB Group India was named Adweek's International Agency of the Year, which was a moment of immense pride for my leadership team and me. It was a great recognition of the incredible journey we embarked on—producing work that set global benchmarks and building world-class capabilities.”

He shared his gratitude to Turnbull and FCB’s global chair Susan Credle for their support. “FCB is, and always will be, close to my heart, and I will forever be its biggest cheerleader. Now, under Dheeraj’s leadership, I’m confident the agency will scale even greater heights," he maintained.

In September 2023, FCB appointed Dheeraj Sinha as group CEO India and South Asia. Sinha, who was formerly CEO, Leo Burnett South Asia and chairperson, BBH India, replaced Ohri, who then moved to a global role.

“Ohri has left an indelible mark on both the agency and industry at large, so we want to thank him for his leadership and contributions to FCB and the industry over the past 30 years. His guidance in India has been instrumental in our agencies' success, and we wish him all the very best for his future endeavours,” added Sinha.

In May 2024, Campaign broke the news that FCB Group India was set to lose three senior executives: Abhinav Kaushik, John Thangaraj, and Arijit Sengupta. Kaushik, who led FCB Group India as president, has appointed as VML's managing partner-west and growth partner last week. Thangaraj, who was FCB Group India's chief strategy officer, joined Havas Creative Network India in the same role, while Sengupta, FCB's executive creative director, joined Dentsu as national creative director.
