Sun TV Network launches three more pay channels

Sun TV Network has announced the launch of three new pay channels from Monday — Sun Life, Sun TV RI (Rest of India) in Tamil and Gemini Life in Telugu. Sun Life and Gemini Life will focus on lifestyle, religion, health, education etc, while Sun TV RI (Rest of India) will transmit the same Sun TV content but specialised for the rest of India. The channel will be available in all states other than Tamil Nadu, thus enabling the advertiser to focus on specific geographical areas.

With this recent launch, the network now has 32 TV channels, which includes 12 in Tamil, 9 in Telugu, 7 in Kannada and 4 in Malayalam.

In December 2011, the company had launched four high-definition TV channels, three in Tamil and one in Telugu. Last week, Sun TV launched four ad-free action movie channels – Sun Action in Tamil, Gemini Action in Telugu, Suriyan TV in Kannada and Surya Action in Malayalam.
