Sunrisers Hyderabad assigns social media duties to Flying Cursor

IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad has appointed Flying Cursor to handle its social media duties. The agency said it bagged the account following a multi-agency pitch.

Shormistha Mukherjee, director, Flying Cursor said, “We’re really thrilled to be working with Sunrisers Hyderabad. The client is raring to go, we’ve got some really exciting ideas that about to roll out, and the team, with Shikhar Dhawan at the helm and Darren Sammy as his deputy, has some amazing players. It’s going be fantastic to build Sunrisers Hyderabad into a brand, that doesn’t just have followers, but devotees.”

K Shanmugam, group CEO, Sun Risers Hyderabad, added, “We are very happy to have teamed up with Flying Cursor. We expect this partnership to further our Social Media reach.”

The brand has 2,11,000 followers on Twitter and 16,60,000 likes on Facebook (as on 16 April 2014).
