Tequila\India strengthens Mumbai operations

Tequila\India, TBWA\India's integrated marketing services arm, has strengthened its Mumbai operations. The agency has recently appointed Vinod Vijaykumar as senior general manager. Vijaykumar (pictured, left) has been promoted from the post of general manager, south with additional responsibility of the west region.

Tequila\India strengthens Mumbai operations

Tequila\India, TBWA\India's integrated marketing services arm, has strengthened its Mumbai operations. The agency has recently appointed Vinod Vijaykumar as senior general manager. Vijaykumar (pictured, left) has been promoted from the post of general manager, south with additional responsibility of the west region.

In addition to Vijaykumar, the agency has also roped in Ravi Pinto as client services director. Pinto (pictured, right) moves in from Ogilvy Action. Pinto has over eight years of experience in brand activation and has also worked on clients such as World Gold Council, Tata Housing, e-Serve, ICICI Venture, Vodafone, Pidilite, HSBC, Barclays and Taxsmile.
 
Speaking about the appointments, John Mathew, managing director and national creative director, Tequila\India said, "Vinod, having spent three years with Tequila\, has been instrumental in making us a force to reckon with in the South. He has nurtured key businesses in Bangalore such as Tata Goldplus, Spar, SABMiller, Apple and Titan Eye Plus. Ravi comes with significant experience in all aspects of brand activation and direct customer engagement. I wish both of them success.”

Speaking about Tequila\India's focus in the region, Mathew said, "We are aggressively investing in Mumbai across functions. We already have a strong field executions team in the region because we believe that seamless integration of planning, creative and execution is the key to delivering efficient and cost-effective marketing services to clients. Tequila\ has acquired sizeable business in Mumbai in the last two quarters, and is now a strong contender for several key accounts. Before the end of the year, we will also be adding considerable width to our offer by adding on new and relevant competencies.”
