Mainardo de Nardis, CEO, OMD Worldwide was in Mumbai recently and took time to speak to Campaign India about the performance of his agency's India operations so far. Nardis says he is "incredibly happy with OMD India's performance"  and attributing the success to OMD's top management in India, he admitted that while it may be currently "disproportionate to the size of the agency today," it was a good foundation for OMD's ambitions in India.

He said, "To go in four years from no presence to a significant presence in four cities,  that's very ambitious. They (OMD India) have won about 75% of our global clients which are now aligned in India and they have won a lot of local business. More importantly, we have a management team which has a very significant layer of talent."

On what prevented the agency from winning the Unilever business in India, de Nardis said he took a different view on that particular development.
