ASCI uphelds complaints against 232
 
ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) has upheld complaints against 232 of the 305 advertisements it reviewed in the month of September. Among the 232 ads, 151 belonged to the 'Education' category. Sixty two belonged to 'Healthcare', followed by seven in the 'Food & Beverages' and four in the 'Personal Care' category. Eight advertisements came from other categories.
 
Among the 305, 92 came from the general public, advertising industry and the Department of Consumer Affairs’ Grievances Against Misleading Advertisements (GAMA) Portal. Out of 92 advertisements, complaints against 28 advertisements were upheld. Through ASCI’s Suo Moto surveillance of print and TV media via the National Advertisement Monitoring Services (NAMS) project, 213 advertisements were brought up. Complaints against 204 of these advertisements were considered to be misleading. 
 
Dominic Braganza joins Webchutney
 
Dentsu Webchutney has announced the appointment of Dominic Braganza as creative director. Braganza will be based in Delhi and report to Anil Kumar, EVP and branch head. He joins the agency from ITSA where he was creative director.  
 
Gutenberg gets office in Singapore
 
Gutenberg has announced the launch of its office in Singapore. This is the agency's ninth office globally. With 70 percent of its global staff based in India, where it has five offices, the Singapore expansion comes after the agency won Smarten Spaces as a client. Smarten Spaces is an AI-based company focused on building solutions for smart communities and smart cities. The Singapore office will be led by Priscilla Selwine, the VP of digital at Gutenberg, working from The Carrot Path, a co-working space for AI companies. 
 
Milestone Brandcom to handle Dalmia Bharat Group's OOH in East India
 
Milestone Brandcom has bagged the OOH duties for Dalmia Bharat Group in East India. The agency won the account post a multi-agency pitch. The agency's mandate includes planning, buying and creative innovations across Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
 
MindShift Interactive expands to Goa
 
MindShift Interactive has launched an office Goa. The agency is looking to build its niche within the hospitality sector with this move. The agency has already worked with Novotel Goa Hotels and Resorts and Le Meridien Goa among others. The office has begun local operations with a servicing and sales team while research, strategy and operations will be driven via its Mumbai office. Randal Gomes will drive the strategy and innovations department while Arashdeep Sandhu will be handling the advertising and lead generation capabilities of the organisation.
