Fake Cannes Lion Winner’s blog 4

Those who know it, know it. Those who’ve realized that the industry is turning into sham, either choose to protest or silently witness it and do nothing about it. This blog doesn’t talk to them. We are Indians, after all. But it really justifies those extra hours I put in everyday to write, when I know that there are people who still think everything’s fine. Why create a hue and cry when there are bigger things to worry about? Like winning more Pencils next year, perhaps.

Cannes Lions partners Youtube for global 48 hour ad contest

YouTube is partnering with the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival to reward two young creatives who will have the chance to win a trip to this year's festival in the south of France. In May, YouTube will be running a 48-hour viral film contest  to create an ad for a well known, international charity whose identity will be kept under wraps until the launch of the contest on 15th of May.

Levy, Schmidt to discuss the future of communications at Cannes 2009

Publicis Worldwide has announced that Eric Schmidt (pictured), chairman and CEO of Google and Maurice Lévy, chairman and CEO Publicis Groupe will discuss the future of the communications industry at the 2009 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.In the first of an annual series of one to one interviews held at the Cannes Festival, "Maurice Lévy Invites..." Schmidt will answer questions posed by Lévy about key issues of the day and how Google sees the future.
