Bhaskar Group appoints Raja Mitra as senior GM and business head
Bhaskar Group has appointed Raja Mitra as senior general manager and business head for South India. He was previously with the ABP Group for five years, as head of southern India. In his new role, Mitra will be responsible for enhancing the company’s advertising sales revenue and growth in the southern India. Mitra will also be in-charge of building and maintaining an authoritative position for the brand in the region.
Bhaskar Group appoints Ashu Phakey as state head
The Bhaskar Group has appointed Ashu Phakey (pictured) as COO Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. In Phakey’s new assignment, he will be responsible for the ad sales revenue and growth from Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana region. He will be based out of Chandigarh.
Bhaskar Group hires Mohan Nair as GM and head-west ops
The Bhaskar Group has appointed Mohan Nair as its senior general manager and head – west operations. Nair (pictured) will oversee the group's sales and business operations in western region of India. He will be based in Mumbai.Before joining Bhaskar Group, Nair was working with Hindustan Unilever as regional business manager, east operations. He has also worked in companies including Modicare, Sterling Holiday Resorts and The Times of India group of publications.
Bhaskar Group hires Namita Bawa as head, product development
Bhaskar Group has appointed Namita Bawa as head, product development. She will be responsible for marketing, development and revenue enhancement of all products under the Bhaskar banner including Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and Business Bhaskar. She will also be responsible for new product launches. In her new role, Bawa will be based out of Delhi. Before joining Bhaskar, Bawa worked with the tobacco division of GPI for over five years. Prior to that, she was with McCann Erickson, where she worked for brands like Perfetti, Nestle, Motorola, Hindustan Times, GPI and Panasonic.
Dainik Bhaskar launches Ratlam, Simla editions
Dainik Bhaskar has launched its Ratlam and Simla editions to consolidate its reach in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. With the launch of these two editions, Dainik Bhaskar now has 26 editions across eight states.
Business Bhaskar launches in New Delhi
Dainik Bhaskar has launched the 12th edition of its Hindi financial daily, Business Bhaskar in New Delhi. The first edition of Business Bhaskar was launched in Bhopal on June 27, 2008. With the launch in New Delhi, it now has 12 editions across six states including Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Punjab and Haryana.
