The Bhaskar Group has appointed Ashu Phakey (pictured) as COO Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. In Phakey’s new assignment, he will be responsible for the ad sales revenue and growth from Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana region. He will be based out of Chandigarh.
Commenting on Phakey’s appointment, Rajiv Jaitly, president – ad sales and marketing said, “I am delighted to welcome Ashu to Bhaskar Group. Ashu's extensive career and cross-industry experience demonstrates his great understanding of the process and his ability to innovatively grow our business. Utilizing his expertise to direct our sales in the CPH region, we are looking forward to developing quality sales and distribution strategies under his leadership in the most efficient ways.”
Prior to this appointment, Phakey was president, Delhi and NCR of Subhiksha Trading Services for four years. Here he was responsible for developing robust customer management tools, building manpower capabilities and maintaining cost-effective and service-intensive supply chain. Before this, he has worked with various multinational and FMCG companies including Conagra Foods, Nestle and Frito Lay India.
