Havells has rolled out a festive campaign ahead of Onam featuring South actors Mohanlal and Anusree. The two-film campaign has been conceptualised and created by McCann.
The films showcase Mohanlal and Anusree as a married couple while subtly sending out a message of gender sensitisation captured through little thoughtful gestures. In the first film, Anusree is disappointed that an outfit she planned to wear the next day has a stain on it. Mohanlal, watching her distress takes it upon himself to wash the outfit overnight and get it all ready for his wife, thereby surprising her the next morning.
The second ad film showcases a video chat between the couple, wherein Mohanlal is having his dinner while Anusree returns home presumably from work. He inquires about her dinner, to which she replies that she didn't have the time to cook, and there would be nothing open now to order food from. He then tells her to open the refrigerator. To her pleasant surprise, she discovers that her husband has thoughtfully prepared dinner for her and stored it in the fridge.
