Navin Talreja and Kawal Shoor put in their papers at Ogilvy

Kawal Shoor, national planning director and Navin Talreja, president, Mumbai and Kolkata, Ogilvy & Mather, have put in their papers.

Shoor was recently elevated to his current role. Prior to this he headed planning at the Mumbai office.

Talreja was added to India board comprising of Piyush Pandey, SN Rane, Madhukar Sabnavis, Poran Malani, Hephzibah Pathak, Miles Young, Paul Heath, Paul Cocks and John Goodman.

Kunal Jeswani, CEO, Ogilvy & Mather said, "Both Navin and Kawal have had great journeys at Ogilvy. They have helped shape our company and have been an integral part of our success. They are, and always will be, part of the Ogilvy family. We celebrate and applaud them for what they have achieved, and we wish them success in everything they do."

He added, "Change is inevitable. It keeps us sharp and makes us stronger. The transition is being worked out and should be completed in a month. We believe in grooming leaders from within. And we believe we have the width and depth of talent across Ogilvy to be able to do it. This may take some time but we will do it well. For now, to ensure there are no immediate leadership gaps, I will take on leadership of Mumbai office. Hephzibah Pathak, with her wealth of experience in Mumbai, will oversee all global client relationships. This is, in any case, is part of her role as global brand director across all offices in India. And Madhukar Sabnavis, our vice chairman, will step in to support the national planning & thought leadership agenda.
