24 hours with... Shivani Behl

Shivani Behl, chief marketing officer, Plum, takes us through what a day in her life looks like

24 hours with... Shivani Behl

Ever wondered what an ideal day in the life of someone from advertising/marketing/media is? We're here to spill the beans on it.

Every Tuesday, we'll have a person from the advertising/marketing/media industry profiled in this section.

Name: Shivani Behl

Job: chief marketing officer, Plum

Professional mantra: Never forget why you started

Personal mantra: Forget the day’s troubles, remember the day’s blessings

5:30-7am: I prefer starting my day early as it gives me a head start to the day. I begin my day with some me-time as I go for my routine morning walk to get energised and ready for the day ahead.

7-8:30am: I travel to work and on my way, drop my son off at school. During my commute, I make sure to catch up with family – my mom and my sister – through phone calls and video chats.

8:30-10am: I'm at the office by 8:30 AM, and I use the first hour and a half to plan my day, respond to important emails, and tackle high-priority tasks that demand focus.

10am-1pm: This is usually jam-packed with back-to-back meetings. I work closely with my team and other stakeholders, focusing on strategic initiatives critical to business.

1-2pm: I usually reserve this time for lunch; however, sometimes unforeseen interruptions and meeting spillovers can get in the way. But I make sure to grab a bite when I can!

2-6pm: Back in the swing of things during this time, it's another round of meetings. I make sure to catch up with all my team members regularly so that I can effectively tackle any challenges they may face.

6pm: I wrap up by 6pm, mainly to beat the infamous Mumbai traffic – which gets exponentially unpredictable during the rains. Getting home early means more time to spend with my family. Once again, commute time is spent listening to my music playlist and catching up on any pending work calls.

7:30-9pm: It's all about unwinding with my son and catching up on some binge-worthy content on OTT platforms.

10pm: It's lights out for me at 10 PM sharp. A good night's sleep is essential to recharge and prepare for the next day.
