A+E Networks elevates Sangeetha Aiyer as vice president

Sangeetha Aiyer has been promoted as vice president and head marketing, A+E Networks TV18. In her new role, Aiyer will handle marketing verticals of the joint venture (consumer and trade) besides providing strategic and marketing solutions for the History TV18 channel.

Ajay Chacko, president, A+E Networks TV18, acknowledged Aiyer’s role in the growth of History TV18.  “Her expertise is core for further strengthening and expansion of the A+E Networks TV18 portfolio,” he added.

A+E Networks has in its portfolio Bio, Crime & Investigation Network and Lifetime, besides History, which has been launched in India through the TV18  JV.

Ritu Kapur, programming head A+E Networks TV18, added, “Sangeetha’s  out-of-the-box marketing strategies have helped  position History TV18 distinctly in the factual genre. From the power packed launch, to the innovations on social media and the online buzz with The Greatest Indian and the inventive campaign for Pawn Stars and Bollywood @100, Sangeetha has ensured that History TV18 is always on a dynamic high.”

Aiyer has over 14 years of experience with organisations including Times Television Network, Arvind Mills, Star India and Reliance Media Network.
