Aviva Life Insurance hands Rishi Piparaiya additional marketing mandate

Piparaiya has been with Aviva since 2009; mandate moves from Gaurav Rajput who has exited the company

Aviva  Life Insurance hands Rishi Piparaiya additional marketing mandate

Aviva Life Insurance has named Rishi Piparaiya as director - marketing and bancassurance.

Piparaiya joined Aviva Life Insurance in 2009 as director - bancassurance and business partnerships. He has taken on additional responsibility of the marketing division starting 4 February 2013.

The role was previously handled by Gaurav Rajput. Rajput has joined Cigna Health Insurance, a US-based health insurance firm which recently entered India.

T R Ramachandran, managing director and chief executive officer, Aviva Life Insurance, said, "Rishi has played a pivotal role in developing bancassurance business and forging new alliances for Aviva. Being associated with Aviva India for more than four years now, he understands the DNA of our business. I am certain that Rishi’s leadership will further strengthen our brand and customer propositions, and enable us to take the next steps in our digital and customer strategies."

In his new role, Piparaiya will be responsible for Aviva's marketing strategy including brand marketing, communications, channel marketing, digital and online strategy, analytics and product propositions.
