Account won post multi-agency pitch

Bates CHI & Partners bags Xploree's creative mandate
KeyPoint Technologies has appointed Bates CHI & Partners to handle the creative mandate of Xploree following a multi-agency pitch. The agency's Bengaluru office will handle the business.

Xploree is a mobile keyboard app currently available on Android. It offers app suggestions based on what one types (in multiple languages), eliminating the need to switch between multiple apps.

Deepti Mani Saxena, director (marketing), KeyPoint Technologies, said, “KeyPoint’s stated intent is to make the smart mobile device an ultimate responsive solution through our Xploree keyboard. Bates CHI& Partners stood out against the competition and demonstrated good insights and out-of-the-box ideas for our category. We are certain that Bates will be a great partner in helping us drive the brand and user value proposition for Xploree.”

VS Srikanth, CEO, Bates CHI India, said, "Xploree is a unique amalgam of a keyboard and lifestyle. As we shall be building the brand and the category demand from scratch, it is going to be challenging and exciting at the same time. The product is very promising and we all are very excited about it, internally. Not to mention the fact that it’s going to be a huge learning experience for each one of us."

Naveen Raman, SVP and branch head, Bates CHI & Partners, Bengaluru, said, "We are excited to work with a young and driven bunch of professionals who are so passionate about their product. KeyPoint is a great addition to our portfolio, as it is the future and poses huge opportunities for us. Digitalisation of vernacular languages will be next big thing and Xploree will be the front-runner in this space. We look forward to breaking language barriers in India through a unique offering that this product has. Added to this is the discovery platform which is a revolution in itself."
