MediaCom has announced the appointment of Divya Gururaj, currently managing director of MediaCom India, as head of South and Southeast Asia.

Debraj Tripathy, currently chief operating officer at MediaCom India, will take over as managing director reporting to the Board.

Reporting to Asia Pacific chief executive officer Alex Crowther, Gururaj’s mandate is to help markets drive growth with business planning, new business, investment plans and day to day operations.

Crowther said that Gururaj is already working on projects in Southeast Asia as part of this new responsibility. “South East Asia remains a major priority for us, bringing such a strong leader in to support me with this region is a sign of our commitment to the people and clients in these markets,” he added.
