The Advertising Club hosted the 18th edition of the Emvie Awards on 5 October in Mumbai. Wavemaker bagged 12 Gold, 12 Silver and 20 Bronze metals en route bagging the agency of the year accolade.
Seven of the Gold wins came for 'client of the year', Vodafone. The agency won three Golds for Eureka Forbes and one each for Tata Tea and ITC. The agency added a further Gold in the 'Best Implementation Team Of The Year' for Vodafone. Mayank Dedhia from Wavemaker won Gold in the 'Young Emvie' category. Ashwin Salian, Silky Seth and Shikha Saket from Wavemaker won Gold in the 'Best Buying Team of the Year' too.
Lodestar UM won the Grand Emvie for 'Sindoor Khela - #NoConditionsApply' for The Times of India. The entry also won two Golds. Lodestar UM won two further Golds for work done for Samsung. The agency also won a Bronze. Lodestar also won Gold in the 'Best Implementation Team Of The Year' category.
Mindshare finished second on the awards tally with two Golds, 19 Silver and 17 Bronze metals. The Gold wins came for Lifebuoy and Republic TV.
Initiative Media, Essence and WATConsult also bagged Golds on the night.
