FAB has also announced that McDonald’s has been named the 2013 Brand of The Year. The brand bagged 13 nominations across various categories this year.

This is the only award that is announced in advance and is based on the number of nominations McDonald's has achieved this year, across creative and effectiveness awards.

Neeraj Nayar, president, FAB Awards, said, “McDonald's truly deserves this accolade for an outstanding year of creative excellence across several communication disciplines and markets. Their outstanding nominations are from the UK, Sweden, India, USA, Canada, Indonesia and range from TV Advertising, Integrated, Collateral and Sales Promotion to Packaging Design."

The 2013 FAB Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony on 30 May in London.

To promote the awards, a print campaign consisting of seven print ads has been created. Three of the seven have been released.
