Jivox launches platform licensing program in APAC

Jivox launches platform licensing program in APAC

Jivox, the global multi-screen interactive video advertising company, has announced the launch of its licensing, support and operations capability targeting the APAC region. Publishers who wish to monetise video content can now license the Jivox video advertising platform to generate and deliver interactive instream ads for their customers. The company says the availability of video content is not a requirement as publishers can also monetise their banner inventory using in-banner interactive video ad units. In both cases, publishers now have the ability to offer their customers a state of the art, proven, interactive video advertising capability.

As part of this launch, Jivox has created a sales, operations support and creative support group. Rahul Tambewagh, based in the Mumbai office of Jivox, has been appointed director, platform sales.

"With the rapid increase in video enabled smart devices and video consumption across APAC, and with the recognition that video advertising offers a 10x improvement in engagement rates over banner advertising, marketers are now making video an important part of their media plan. However, while the requirement for video advertising has dramatically increased, the ability to rapidly create and deliver compelling interactive video ads remains a critical challenge,” said Naren Nachiappan, managing director, Jivox. “The APAC region and India in particular represent an increasingly sophisticated market with the adoption by consumers of a variety of video enabled devices that are handheld, in the car, and at home. The Jivox platform’s ability to seamlessly create, deliver and optimise interactive video ads across this range of devices makes it a great fit for this market, and our recent financing will allow us to accelerate our growth here.”

Commenting on Tambewagh's appointment, Nachiappan said, “We’re very pleased to have Rahul in this role. Rahul has shown his commitment to customers in his prior role in media sales at Jivox. Rahul was previously national account director where he was responsible for very successful relationships with Unilever, Vodafone, Intel, STAR networks and Siemens, among others. In his new role, Rahul will work with publishers and video content owners to accelerate the adoption of the Jivox plaform and to enable their respective sales team to sell high impact, high value instream and in-banner interactive video ads.”

Dinker Charak, VP Product Management and APAC Operations added, “The Jivox support team will be there to help with ad creation, tag generation, instream and in-banner integration.  We will work together with the publisher ad operations team and ensure the delivery of successful high engagement campaigns. Jivox will also train and certify members of Publisher ad operations team so they are able to get the maximum benefit from the platform.”
