M&C Saatchi formally launches Direct and Digital communication unit

M&C Saatchi has formally launched its Direct and Digital communications unit. Although the unit has been operational for sometime now, it was a soft launch. It has now been officially launched under the name M&C Saatchi-i.

The agency already has brands like Asia Pacific Breweries, Worldwide Media, Kotak, Turner and Castrol on board as clients. The formal launch of the Indian unit runs parallel to the unit’s launch in China as well. M&C Saatchi-i currently has offices in Mumbai and Delhi. The unit is led by Sumantra Sengupta, chief executive officer and the core team that works along with him includes Rakshin Patel and Sumanto Ganguly.

Confirming the development to Campaign India, Sumantra Sengupta, CEO, M&C Saatchi-i, said, “Direct communication is the way to increase consumer engagement so it comes as no surprise that more marketers are turning to direct and digital. Brands today cannot have one-on-one relationships with consumers unless they use digital.”
