Mudra North & East brings in Gopal Krishnan

Mudra North & East, a unit of Mudra India, has brought back Gopal Krishnan as vice president. This is Krishnan’s second stint with Mudra. In his new role, he will report to Ajay Naqvi, EVP & head, Mudra North & East.

Mudra North & East, a unit of Mudra India, has brought back Gopal Krishnan as vice president. This is Krishnan’s second stint with Mudra. In his new role, he will report to Ajay Naqvi, EVP & head, Mudra North & East.

Commenting on his move back to Mudra, Krishnan said, “I am delighted to be back at Mudra. For me this is sort of a homecoming as I started my career here. And after two decades, I am happy to return here with all the knowledge that I have now. My main goal here is to make Mudra North & East a powerhouse of creativity, servicing and planning. I have seen some very good work coming out of the agency and now it is time to push the envelope and explore new horizons.”

On hiring Krishnan, Ajay Naqvi, EVP Mudra & head, Mudra North & East said, “Gopal is extremely talented, passionate and someone who puts rigour in everything he does. He is extremely people savvy and enjoys the respect of his team, partners and clients alike. I am hoping that with him joining as Vice-President, Mudra North & East, this office will become even more vibrant. The mandate given to him is to strengthen key client relationships and lead our organic and inorganic growth. We have just about finished setting up a formidable creative team, and our account management function is getting bolstered as we go. Gopal will play a very important role in rallying our creative and planning resources.”

Krishnan has close to 20 years of experience and has worked with agencies such as Rediffusion Y & R and TBWA amongst others.
