Multi Screen Media names Man Jit Singh as CEO

Multi Screen Media has named Man Jit Singh (pictured) as chief executive officer. In his new capacity, he will oversee Sony Entertainment Television (SET), SET MAX, SAB and SET PIX. Before this, he served as Multi Screen’s interim CEO since February 2009.

Multi Screen Media has named Man Jit Singh (pictured) as chief executive officer. In his new capacity, he will oversee Sony Entertainment Television (SET), SET MAX, SAB and SET PIX. Before this, he served as Multi Screen’s interim CEO since February 2009.

“As interim CEO, Man Jit has provided leadership and stability,” said Andy Kaplan, president, Sony Pictures Television. “After Multi Screen's successes with Indian Premier League cricket and its new programming initiatives, we feel it is appropriate to continue the consistency in management that Man Jit has provided and are confident in his ability to grow the channels businesses in India.”

Added Singh, "We have a brilliant dedicated and creative team at Multi Screen and I'm thrilled to be able to continue the work that I've started. Our chief operating officer, NP Singh, is my partner in managing our businesses and together, we will work as hard as we can to elevate our channels to leadership positions in India." 

Before being interim CEO, Singh served as chairman of the board of directors of Multi Screen. He joined the board of directors from Diogenes Capital, LLC, a private equity fund in California, where he was a principal.  Prior to that, he was chairman and CEO of Compete, Inc in Massachusetts. Prior to Compete, Singh was CEO of various companies specializing in management recruitment and temporary staffing, including Futurestep,

He began his career at Nestle India.
