Nimbus Communications has announced the elevation of Yannick Colaco (pictured) to the position of chief operating officer for Nimbus Sport, the group’s global sports agency.
Speaking about the promotion, Digvijay Singh, CEO, Nimbus Communications said, "Few executives combine conceptual and strategic skills with strong execution abilities as well as outstanding marketplace relationships. As COO of Nimbus Sport, Yannick will now bring these qualities to bear across all aspects of the business, and we look forward to a further impetus to the growth of Nimbus Sport under Yannick’s leadership.”
Commenting about the elevation, Colaco said, "As a young sports agency, Nimbus Sport has seen spectacular growth and I am very excited about leading the agency to its next stage of consolidation in some of the world’s most promising markets.”
Colaco, who has been a senior member of the team at Nimbus Sport for the last seven years, will continue to be based in Mumbai and will now oversee Nimbus Sport’s interests across the world – including, among others, the Indian cricket board’s media rights, commercial partnerships with the Asian Cricket Council, the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Cricket Kenya, as well as English Premier League soccer new media rights in 80 countries.
