OrangeGlobal Stories has introduced ‘Eshtory’, an audio storytelling platform dedicated to original fiction. The launch was done in Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari's presence at an event held in Nagpur, yesterday. The event also saw OrangeGlobal Stories unveiling the new brand logo of Eshtory.
To be available to users from January 2025 onwards, Eshtory will showcase regional stories to global audiences. Harrish Bhatia, co-founder, OrangeGlobal Stories, said, “We aim to transform storytelling into an immersive experience, offering fresh and original narratives across cultures and geographies.”
The company has earmarked a $36 million fund to be spent by 2027 on marketing and digital outreach programmes to fortify its business footprint in India and the global markets.
The global audio drama market is expected to reach $8.5 billion by 2032, growing by 10.2% CAGR from the current level of $3.5 billion, according to a report released by Dataintelo. The report mentions that the increasing smartphone penetration and the rising popularity of online streaming platforms in countries like China, India, and Japan are key drivers of this regional growth.
Co-founded by Harrish Bhatia, Viplove Gupte, and Nilesh Kadam, experienced professionals from media and storytelling domains, OrangeGlobal Stories is backed by strategic investments from Inu Majumdar and Abhijit Majumdar. Inu Majumdar also currently serves as the CEO of Radio Orange.
