Rajendra Gupta has joined Mogae Media as chief value officer. Prior to joining the agency, Gupta was with Reliance Communications.
Gupta started his career at Dunlop before moving to Wipro’s Lighting Division. He moved to advertising in 1994, when he joined Rediffusion Y&R, where he was a part of the team that launched Bharti Airtel. Gupta also spent a year at Bharti where he worked on the launch of landline services in Madhya Pradesh. He moved to Reliance Communications in 2001.
Commenting on his move to Mogae Media, Gupta said, “Moving to Mogae is like home-coming. I have worked with Sandeep Goyal for many years and his new venture really excited me. So here I am.”
Tanya Goyal, director, Mogae Media, said, “Guptaji (as he is popularly called) is a veteran of both mobile and of advertising. It is a rare combination. And that is what makes him a really valuable asset on any team. We look forward to Guptaji carving out a new business out of creating customer value and delight through options on hi-value brands."
Mogae Media was launched by Sandeep Goyal, former JV partner of Dentsu India in October 2011. It is the sole partner of Airtel, India’s largest telecom company, for monetisation of all its mAdvertising assets, including mCouponing and mCommerce.
