Sachin Tendulkar to be the face of Royal Bank of Scotland

Sachin Tendulkar has been named as the brand ambassador for The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) and will represent the bank in its key Asia Pacific markets such as India and the Middle East. Other RBS ambassadors include golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and Formula One champion Sir Jackie Stewart.As an RBS ambassador Sachin will help raise awareness of the RBS brand across the Asia Pacific region as the face of RBS through a series of corporate advertising campaigns.

Sachin Tendulkar has been named as the brand ambassador for The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) and will represent the bank in its key Asia Pacific markets such as India and the Middle East. Other RBS ambassadors include golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and Formula One champion Sir Jackie Stewart.

As an RBS ambassador Sachin will help raise awareness of the RBS brand across the Asia Pacific region as the face of RBS through a series of corporate advertising campaigns.

John McCormick, Chairman, Asia Pacific RBS Group said, "We are extremely excited that Sachin Tendulkar has agreed to become an RBS ambassador. He represents everything we admire in sport – focus, determination and achievement. "

RBS also announced a series of associate sponsorships for the upcoming Australia test series and the seven England One Day Internationals. "The culmination of RBS' support for International cricket in India in 2008 will be the two Test series matches against England with the winners picking up the inaugural RBS Cup," added McCormick.  "RBS has had a presence in India since 2002. We recognise the significant growth potential in India and are working closely with the Indian regulators to integrate the ABN AMRO businesses we acquired."
