Nayak joined the agency in 2001 and was named president in 2007

Sanjay Nayak to exit McCann; Govind Pandey takes over as COO
McCann Worldgroup India announced in a brief statement on 18 May 2015 the exit of its president, Sanjay Nayak.
 
Nayak, who has been with the agency since 2001, was elevated to the role of president in 2007. He was in charge of all business units of McCann Worldgroup India. The agency statement added that he will be joining a start-up.
 
With his exit, Govind Pandey, president, will now take on the role of chief operating officer, reporting directly to Prasoon Joshi, chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India. 
 
Alok Lall, executive director, McCann Worldgroup India, will now assume 'national responsibilities' of McCann Erickson (the advertising operation) in India.
