SET to roll out Yash Raj Films TV from January 1

The new year will see Yash Raj Films (YRF) TV launch on Sony Entertainment Television (SET). The new content will go live on Sony from January 1, every Friday to Sunday between 8 to 10 p.m. The channel aims to “distinct” in its look with fresh, contemporary and engaging storylines that reflect the dreams, aspirations and passion of today’s young India. Five new shows will make up the programming line up of the weekend time band, out of which four are fiction shows and one is a non-fiction show.

The new year will see Yash Raj Films (YRF) TV launch on Sony Entertainment Television (SET). The new content will go live on Sony from January 1, every Friday to Sunday between 8 to 10 p.m. The channel aims to “distinct” in its look with fresh, contemporary and engaging storylines that reflect the dreams, aspirations and passion of today’s young India.

Five new shows will make up the programming line up of the weekend time band, out of which four are fiction shows and one is a non-fiction show.

Commenting on the shows, Yash Chopra, said “YRF TV is an initiative to engage and entertain the entire family through content which combines high quality production values with contemporary story telling – characters, language and environment to which today’s Indian family can relate. We are happy that Sony Entertainment Television has shown the commitment to back the YRF TV content.”

Of the five shows, Lift Kara De (see picture), is a reality show that will be hosted by Karan Johar. Other shows include Mahi Way, which describes the life of a 25 year-old girl, Rishta.com, that is a take on the traditional institute of marriage, Powder, a thriller series and Seven which is an action-adventure show.
