The Leo Group re-brands Orchard as Leo Burnett Orchard
The Leo Group has announced the re-branding of Orchard Advertising as Leo Burnett Orchard and made new appointments.
 
Saurabh Varma, chief executive officer, Publicis Communications, India, said, “In the last three years, the group has invested in assets like Indigo Consulting, IndigoiStrat, Leo Burnett Experience, and Greenhouse. These core offerings will be deployed by both agencies to create integrated solutions for their clients. Leo Burnett Orchard will also access MSL Group, Publicis.Media and Sapient in India to offer transformative solutions to its clients.”
 
The agency has roped in Mahuya Chaturvedi as chief operating officer (replacing Kaizad Pardiwalla). Chaturvedi joins the agency from D’Decor where she was brand and marketing head.
 
She said, “I am extremely excited to be a part of Leo Burnett Orchard, especially to lead over a 100 people across Mumbai and Bengaluru. I couldn’t have come in at a more opportune moment, when the agency is seeing such dynamic momentum and is handling some of the most marquee brands in the country. Rohitash Srivastava has been appointed as national head of strategy at Leo Burnett Orchard. He joins the agency from Sapient.Nitro, where he was the strategy planning lead for North India. Srivastava will be based in Bengaluru. Lubna Khan, who headed strategy prior to this, has decided to move on.
 
Amod Dani who was creative head, North at Sapient.Nitro has joined as executive creative director. This is his second stint with the group, after having worked with Leo Burnett India as associate executive creative director until 2012.
 
Amritaj Thakur has moved from Leo Burnett India's Delhi office to Leo Burnett Orchard as vice president - brand strategy at the agency's Mumbai office to partner Sharmine Panthaky (branch head, Leo Burnett Orchard, Mumbai). 
 
The core leadership team of the agency also includes Ganga Ganapathi, (branch head, Bengaluru), Neel Roy(ECD, Bengaluru) Vinod Eshwer, (ECD, Bengaluru), Rina Francis, (finance director) and Reena Nair (people and culture manager and head of HR Leo Burnett Orchard).
 
The core management team of Saurabh Varma, Rajdeepak Das (CCO, Leo Burnett, South Asia) and Dheeraj Sinha (CSO, Leo Burnett, South Asia),will oversee both the agencies in their respective capacities.
