BBDO and Mudra Communications have the most number of shortlisted entries from India at Spikes Asia this year with 14 shortlists.

BBDO has one nomination in Print for its campaign for White Collar Hippies, four in Promo (three for ‘Shavesutra’ for Gillette Mach3 Turbo Sensitive in Best Product Launch/Relaunch, Consumer Products and Services and Integrated campaign led by Promo & Activation; and  one for ‘Call from The Future’ for Aviva), two in PR (‘Shavesutra’ in Best Launch/Relaunch and Best Integrated Campaign Led BY PR), four in Direct (two for ‘Call From The Future’ in Consumer Products & Services and Alternative Media; two for ‘Shavesutra’ in Consumer Products & Services and Integrated Campaign Led By Direct); and three in Media (‘Call From The Future’ in Best Use of Special Events and Stunt/Live Advertising and ‘Shavesutra’ in the same category and in Integrated Media Campaign).

Mudra’s 14 shortlists come from the following categories: two in Print (one for a campaign for Olive Tracer Phones and one for the VW Beetle); one in Promo (‘Silent National Anthem’ for BIG Cinemas in Corporate Image & Information); one in Film (‘Silent National Anthem’ in Corporate Image); one in PR (‘Silent National Anthem’ in Corporate Reputation); one in Design (‘Disappearing Accounts’ for RI Ayurveda Research Labs ); four in Direct (two for ‘Disappearing Accounts’ in Mailings and Consumer Products & Services; one for ‘Bouncing Mail’ for Union Bank of India in Mailings, ‘; and one for ‘Silent National Anthem’ in Corporate Image & Reputation); and two in Media (‘Silent National Anthem’ in Best Use of Screens and ‘Disappearing Accounts’ in Best Use of Ambient Media: Small Scale); two from Outdoor ('Locker Room' for Stedfast' and 'Iconic' for VW Beetle).

McCann Worldgroup has six nominations: two in Print (one for a campaign for Onida 121 Mobile and one for Marico Saffolalife for World Heart Day), three in Outdoor (one for a campaign for Onida 121 Mobile, one for 'Blind Driving' for Hard Rock Cafe, and one for 'The Cascade of Books' for Videocon Mobile Phones) and one in Media (for Marico Saffolalife for an innovation in The Times of India)

Contract, Creativeland Asia, JWT and MediaCom have garnered three shortlists each. Contract has earned its nominations in Promo, PR and Media  for ‘Soles to Souls’ for JK Tyres. MediaCom’s shortlists come from  ‘Shiksha – A CSR Inititiative’ for P&G, Vicks CJ Hunt, and Dell India ‘Being Your True Business Partner’. JWT’s are for ‘Naaka Mukka – Now In English’ in Radio from JWT Reel Chennai in two different categories, and for 'Belle Du Jour' for BCCL in Film. Creativeland Asia's are for Audi  A8L 3D Experience in Media and Digital and for Hippo Baked Munchies 'Plan-T' in Digital.

Leo Burnett, TBWA, Ogilvy and Mindshare have two shortlists each. Leo Burnett has nominations for ‘Gandhiji Font’ in Design and 'Fold A Stain Wall Painting' in Outdoor; TBWA’s are for ‘Immigration Stamps’ for Yatra.com in Design; Ogilvy's are for 'Cyclist' for Pidilite and 'Train' for Indian Railways in Film; and Mindshare’s are for ‘Surf Excel Little Big Filmmaker’ in Media.

Agencies with one shortlist each are: Taproot (for ‘Visual Classified’ for BCCL in Print), Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick (‘Shavesutra’ in PR), Beehive (‘Sketch-A-Card for Sashikant Gavali Institute Of Rapid Sketching in Design), Out Of The Box (‘Love Blossoms Here’ for Mother’s Pride in Design), , Maxus (‘PC Missing for Nokia in Media) and Experience Commerce ('Build A Dream Car'  for Tata Aria in Digital).

There are no shortlisted entries from India in Mobile.

All in all, India has 59 shortlists so far which agencies can hope to convert on awards night on Tuesday 20 September 2011. Shortlists for Craft and Integrated are still to be announced.
