Weekend Fun: Bombay Talkies

Celebrate the 100th Birthday of Indian cinema this weekend at the movies.

One movie you can catch is Bombay Talkies. Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ latest offering comprises of four short films directed by four acclaimed Bollywood directors - Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee.

The film released on 3 May as a tribute to the completion of 100 years of Indian cinema.

It stars Rani Mukherjee, Katrina Kaif, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others.

According to the Cannes Film Festival web site, Bombay Talkies has been selected for the Gala Screening as a tribute to Indian Cinema.

The title track of the film features the who’s who of Bollywood – Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji, Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Akshay Kumar, Karisma KapoorJuhi Chawla, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
