Weekend Fun: Cricket, football and F1 on television this weekend

Sports fans can rejoice as there's plenty of action from all over the world this weekend to look forward to.

In cricket, the early risers can catch the ongoing first Ashes Test match in Brisbane. Australia hold the edge at the end of day 2, with a lead of 224 runs and 10 wickets in hand. Catch day 3 and 4 over the weekend, with coverage beginning at 5:30 am, Live on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports HD1.

India will be looking to take an unassailable lead in the ODI series on Sunday, when they take on the West Indies in the second of the three game series. The match at Visakhapatnam is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm, Live on Star Sports 1, 3 and Star Sports HD1.

Further, Pakistan and South Africa meet twice over the weekend. First, they meet in the second T20 on Friday night at Cape Town. Catch the game at 9:30 pm, Live on Ten Cricket and Ten HD. The second meeting of the weekend, will be on Sunday, when they meet at the same venue for the first ODI. This game begins at 1:30 pm, Live on Ten HD and Ten Cricket.

For football fans, there's the Barclays Premier League to look forward to.

In the big game on Saturday, Everton host city neighbours Liverpool. The match begins at 6:15 pm, Live on Star Sports 4 and Star Sports HD1. This game is followed by table toppers Arsenal hosting Southampton at 8:30 pm on Star Sports 4.

On Sunday, Manchester City host Tottenham at the Etihad. The game will kick off at 7 pm, Live on Star Sports 4. This will be followed by Manchester United's trip to Cardiff.

The Formula 1 season comes to an end this weekend. Catch the action from the Brazilian GP, live at 9:30 pm on Sunday, on Star Sports HD2.
