ASCI upheld complaints against 95 advertisements  
 
In December 2016, ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) upheld complaints against 95 out of 125 advertisements against whom complaints were filed. Of the 95 advertisements, 58 belonged to the healthcare category, 10 in the food and beverages category, followed by nine in personal care Category and four in education. Fourteen belonged to 'other' categories.
 
Lux Cozi joins Kolkata Knight Riders
 
Innerwear brand Lux Cozi will be one of the official sponsors and the only merchandise partner for two time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
 
MediaCom India bags agency of the year at Festival of Media Asia 
 
MediaCom India won the Grand Prix (Campaign of the Year) and the Agency of the Year accolade at the Festival of Media Asia awards held in Singapore. The agency’s award haul included four Golds and a bronze.
 
Panasonic Batteries signs up P V Sindhu as the brand ambassador 
 
P V Sindhu, the   21   year   old,   ace-badminton player has been signed on for Panasonic’s Battery division for the next three years as a part of strategic decision to enrich the brand image and challenge the 'numero uno' position, said a company statement. 
 
SureWaves launches Skynet
 
SureWaves MediaTech has announced the launch of its programmatic television advertising marketplace – ‘Skynet’. The company statement claims that the new offering represents a paradigm shift in the world of television advertising and is a first in the space of television advertising.
 
Yakult Danone appoints Shilpa Shetty 
 
Yakult Danone India, a 50:50 joint venture between Yakult Honsha, Japan and Groupe Danone, France, announced Bollywood celebrity Shilpa Shetty Kundra as its  new brand ambassador. The company has lined up several initiatives to spread the health benefits of probiotics and Yakult among Indian consumers.
