WPP's Cohn & Wolfe to acquire majority in Six Degrees

Investment will cover PR agency and Alphabet Consulting, its content and integrated marketing subsidiary

WPP's Cohn & Wolfe to acquire majority in Six Degrees
Cohn & Wolfe has announced that it has agreed to acquire majority stake in public relations agency Six Degrees and its content and integrated marketing subsidiary Alphabet Consulting. The new entity Cohn &Wolfe Six Degrees will have offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
 
Cohn & Wolfe launched its India operations in 2012. Prior to this development, it had offices in Mumbai and Delhi. Six Degrees was founded in 2009. 
 
Donna Imperato, chief executive officer, Cohn & Wolfe, said, "India is a strategic priority for Cohn & Wolfe, and Six Degrees has the entrepreneurial culture, seasoned talent and drive to succeed that will help us capitalise on the tremendous opportunity for growth here. The agency’s presence in Bengaluru, the country’s technology hub, and their work in technology, finance and corporate complements the Cohn & Wolfe India team’s extensive lifestyle and consumer experience.”
 
Rishi Seth and  Zacharia James, co-founders of Six Degrees, will be group CEOs of the new entity. Karan Punia, CEO of Six Degrees, will be CEO, Cohn & Wolfe Six Degrees. He will report to Seth and James. The combined operation will have a headcount of 70.
