You just need to see how good an actor you are, to make advertising a part of your professional life: Suresh Raina

Campaign India catches up with the former Indian cricketer, to get a sense of his idea about the advertising world

You just need to see how good an actor you are, to make advertising a part of your professional life: Suresh Raina
Former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina has been the face of many ads, right from Pure Play, Ceat, BharatPe and Intex, among others. Most recently, he became the newly appointed brand ambassador for Booking.com's campaign for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022.

On the sidelines of that announcement, we asked him a couple of quick questions about his love for advertising and the campaigns he fondly remembers...

An ad campaign that you fondly remember?

I shot with Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres for Pepsi's 'Change The Game' campaign. MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and I had a lot of fun. Drogba called me some time ago and we had a lovely shoot in Mumbai. We'll be seen again soon.

What is your favourite thing about advertising?

I love doing it because I get to learn about different ads and how they're planned. I’ve done a lot of shots in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and UP and it all depends on how you do it. You just need to see how good an actor you are, to make it a part of your professional life.
