zoOm brings in Avinash Kaul as CEO

Times Television Network has brought in Avinash Kaul as chief executive officer for zoOm Entertainment Network.

In a career spanning 12 years in the television business, Kaul started his career as media planner with HTA Fulcrum.  He has also worked with Discovery Communications, Star India, NDTV Media and Sahara One (his last assignment before joining zoOm).

Commenting on the development, Sunil Lulla, managing director and chief executive officer Times Television Network, said “Over the last few years zoOm has become the one stop shop for Bollywood entertainment be it news, reviews, countdowns, music or interviews with stars.  As we embark to scale newer heights, Avinash with his experience across various aspects of television will play a crucial role in ensuring that zoOm becomes the only port of call for all Bollywood lovers. We will also leverage his experience and talent to grow the strength and franchise of the Times Television Network”.

In his role at Sahara One as chief executive officer, Kaul headed three channels - Sahara One, Filmy and Firangi.
