Akshay Kumar features in the latest television commercial for Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI). Created by Dentsu Marcom, the TVC aims to show how the brand understands and emphatises with the dreams of every Indian.

Kumar provides the voice-over in the film. The commercial shows India waking up to begin the day in a hurry. A man is shown burning his tongue while having tea and rushing for work, while another is shown having his breakfast on his bike at a traffic signal. Other situations where a mother is shown packing off a child with a lunch box and a man waiting impatiently at a railway crossing, because everyone is in a hurry. In between these situations, we see Kumar walking through a traffic jam he is stuck in. He looks at everyone rushed and says that he knows the way between reality and dreams a little too well. The film ends with the message that we need just little bit of wind beneath our wings to take us towards our dreams, faster.

On the brief given to the agency, Titus Upputuru, national creative director, Dentsu Marcom, said, "With HMSI becoming the only Honda in the country, the task at hand was to carry forward Honda’s global slogan, 'The Power of Dreams' in the Indian two-wheeler market. The brief was to create synergy with the Indian ethos, and structure communication that understands and empathises with the dreams of every Indian. This would be the foundation stone to building a brand that every Indian can relate to and be the most accepted by the year 2020."

The film has been directed by Amit Sharma of Chrome Pictures and went on air on 11 June.
