Nestle continues 100-year celebration; pays tribute to centenarian runner Fauja Singh

Watch the film conceptualised by SapientNitro here

Continuing its 100-year celebrations in India, Nestle has rolled out another film.

Conceptualised by SapientNitro, this film features the oldest marathon runner Fauja Singh and looks to build on the brand's tie-up with the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon which will be hosted on 29 November 2015.

It opens with 104-year-old Singh wearing his running shoes and introducing himself as a marathon runner. The film also features his coach Harmander Singh, who reveals that Fauja ran his first marathon at the age of 89. He enlits Fauja's accomplishments, which includes breaking the six-hour mark when he was 93, completing a marathon in under eight hours at the age of 101, both of which are records.

The scene cuts back to the runner. In Punjabi, Fauja states that good health begets happiness, and that happiness is the core reason for his running and not the fame or money or anything else. He also encourages everyone to run the Delhi Half Marathon and bring more happiness to themselves and their families.

Stating that Fauja intends to run till he dies, the coach says, "I believe for any individual to be successful, and continue being successful for over a 100 years, you do need that passion and aim."
A super reads '100 years and running - Nestle salutes the spirit of Fauja Singh'. The film ends introducing the brand's partnership with the Delhi Half Marathon.
