Amit Khatri, co-founder of smart wearable and hearable brand Noise, takes us through a day in his life

24 hours with...Amit Khatri

Name: Amit Khatri
Job: Co-founder, Noise
Professional mantra: Be a step ahead of the challenge—I believe cultivating a proactive mindset is a must for an entrepreneur. Stay agile, anticipate market shifts, and consumer behaviour, adapt swiftly, maintain a competitive edge, and address obstacles preemptively to ensure success.
Personal mantra: Building for the larger good—we started with the vision to democratise technology by building something meaningful for society, for the nation and for the people.

5:30am: I start my day early and keep that morning hour to myself. It’s my ‘me hour’ as it allows me to set a positive tone for the day ahead.

6:00am - 7:00am: It's my energy hour. I start with a dedicated workout and training, whether it's hitting the gym, running or engaging in some outdoor sports activities.

7:00am - 8:00am: I quickly catch up with the global team and partners virtually, considering the difference in time zones.

8:00am - 9:00am: I prefer to dedicate this time to my family. I have breakfast with them, spend some quality time with my kids, check my kids’ schedules before they leave for school, and plan the day with my spouse.

9:00am: As I leave for work, I quickly review my schedule, prioritise tasks, address the influx of emails, and map out key goals while on my way to work.

9:30am: My day starts off with the leadership meetings to align on larger tasks and goals. Then the rest of the morning hours go into detailed meetings with different departments and teams to align on ongoing projects.

1:00pm: I try to enjoy lunch with my teams and extended employees where I connect with them beyond work. It helps me learn more about their interests and passions outside of work, thereby strengthening the team spirit and bond.

2:00pm: Returning to my desk, I tackle emails and administrative tasks to maintain focus on day-to-day goals. Later, I meet with external partners to discuss strategy and growth.

4:00pm - 6:00pm: During these hours of the day, I make sure to connect with the product and Noise Labs teams to brainstorm ideas and align on our next steps for consumer offerings.

6:00pm - 7:00pm: Before leaving work, I make sure to tie up any loose ends and ensure everything is in order, or check if any teams need assistance in solving something. Additionally, we actively explore new growth opportunities, and this commitment to excellence motivates me to go the extra mile.

7:00pm: This is my social hour. As my workday ends, I try to catch up with friends and occasionally go out with industry peers. These engagements are a mix of social and professional events. As soon as I get home, I prioritise spending time with my kids. This is one of my favourite hours of the day. Whether it's dinner, movies, or simply enjoying some frolic time and exchanging stories from our day, I prefer spending it together with my family.

9:00pm: After dinner, I sometimes tune into podcasts or connect with the community on LinkedIn.

10:00pm - 10:30pm: After a quick reflection on the day's achievements and a quick read, I drift off to sleep, aiming for a healthy sleep score on my Luna Ring. This prepares me to embrace whatever tomorrow brings.
