24 hours with... Prachi Bali

Prachi Bali, EVP and business head, Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate, takes us through what a day in her life looks like

24 hours with... Prachi Bali

Ever wondered what an ideal day in the life of someone from advertising/marketing/media is? We're here to spill the beans on it.

Every Tuesday, we'll have a person from the advertising/marketing/media industry profiled in this section.

Name: Prachi Bali
Job: EVP and business head, Saatchi & Saatchi Propagate
Professional mantra: Stay curious and be prepared.
Personal mantra: Have no regrets!

6:30am: Scrambling out of bed, hoping logic wins over sleep. Doom scrolling while gathering a hold of my senses each morning.

7am: Down for a walk or core exercises in the morning. Want to get it out of the way to avoid feeling guilty or sluggish for the rest of the day! Also the time I take to think through the plans for the day.

9am: Leave for work. Office is a 15 minute walk from home, so I walk through the crowded streets while having some music on to match my vibes for the day.

9:30am to 12:30pm: Meetings, calls, catch-ups, all while guzzling down a huge mug of black coffee. Always trying to speed through the first half, so that the day doesn’t get ahead of me.

12:30-1pm or 1-1:30pm: As a rule, lunch has always been on time. It is a habit we have in the family since forever. So depending on the meeting before, food is always the priority at this hour. Have a mini squad of people who always give each other company for lunch. So we catch up and I never want to be on the phone during this time so as a rule we don’t talk shop.

1:30-8pm: Second half is usually the more hectic one. Trying to solve for as much as I can for that day to avoid spill over into the next. Usually a lot of reviewing of work, feedback on campaigns, brainstorming is parked for the second half.

8:30pm: Walk back home from work while simultaneously shooting out some messages to the team about priorities for the next day.

9-10pm: Playing with my dog Bruno, having dinner and catching up with the family is the focus of the hour.

10:15pm: Going through my list of meetings or important events for the next day, being mentally prepared for the intensity of the next day.

10:30pm: Getting into bed and indulging in either a book or a show is usually the plan. Video calling my fiancé before calling it a night.

11:30pm: Time for bed!
