Anita Gupta calls it a day at JWT Chennai; to start adventure company

Anita Gupta, senior vice president and managing partner, JWT Chennai has decided to hang up her advertising shoes and put on her trekking boots. Post her exit from JWT, Gupta will launch her own mountain trekking and adventure company. Her replacement has not been announced at the time of filing this report.

Confirming the development, Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT, said, “After a long tenure of 25 years, she has decided to leave on personal grounds. She is setting up her own company in “adventure tourism” and will guide those who go off the beaten tourism track – from Bhutan to the Himalayas. JWT prepares you for anything!”

On the exit from JWT after her long tenure, Gupta added, “Life at JWT has been a rich and exciting adventure. The constant fun, the continuous learning, the rigor and the passion have made every single moment an enjoyable one. The inspiration, energy and support that the leadership of the company has always provided, has led JWT to achieving the potential that we all dreamt of. I am sure that this momentum will only increase, and ensure that JWT goes higher, pushes harder and shines brighter.”

Without revealing much on her future plans, she informed, “Now it's time to convert my passion for excitement and adventure into a new venture, of a slightly different sort. I will soon be setting up a mountain trekking and adventure company. And I look forward to enjoying another enriching journey.”
