BC Webwise has designed a viral campaign to promote the mobile tracker feature for a series of Samsung phones.

The viral starts with an alien abduction which is ultimately tracked down by cops with the help of the mobile tracker feature of a Samsung phone, one of the many things seized by the aliens.

Says Chaya Brian Carvalho, CEO, BC Webwise, "Samsung Mobile launched a series of phones equipped with a mobile tracker feature that once activated renders these phones virtually loss proof. However, following the launch of the product it was discovered that not many customers were aware of the mobile tracker feature and how beneficial it actually was. The objective of the campaign was clearly to educate users about benefits of this feature and demonstrate its use."

Tanaya Kaji, senior copywriter adds, "The viral deftly deploys a concoction of incisive humour, outlandish situations and pop culture references to great success without relying too heavily on topical Bollywood spoofs. Packed with everything from witty punch lines and intergalactic adventure to a customarily peeved Rakhi, this viral utilizes a satisfyingly fresh yet reliably effective formula for success."

The viral is targeted at students and young working professionals who use mobile phones extensively and who tend to travel considerably using public transport.

The viral is accompanied with a functional demo and with a banner and Google text ads campaign. The campaign has generated a total of 1.3 million impressions in 12 days.

The creative team includes Isha Makwana, Shailendra More, Gaurang Menon, Chagas Ferdinando, Sadhana Desai, Tanaya Kaji, Varun Joseph Bose, Sudarshan Sudevan, Rahul Patil, Abhishek Chaudankar, Sameer Kulkarni, Santosh Pujari, Kishor Suryawanshi, Pankaj Kambli, Vaishali Rajput, Vivek Dagwale and Sadhana Desai.
