The Bhaskar Group has appointed Vijay Singh as associate vice president, sales operations. With this assignment, Singh (pictured) will be responsible for developing government sales business, creating robust sales operations systems and processes and developing key accounts.
Speaking about the appointment, Rajiv Jaitley, president, sales and marketing, Bhaskar Group, said, "We are pleased to have Vijay on board. Vijay's experience in sales and distribution, account management and in developing strategic plans will be a great asset to the Bhaskar Group as we continue to develop our sales operations. His addition to the team will help us refine our direction and ensure that we have the necessary internal processes in place to achieve our goals."
Vijay Singh, associate vice president, Bhaskar Group added, "It is a privilege to become a part of the Bhaskar Group, one of the most aggressive and the fastest growing media groups in the country. The Group has been growing exponentially and to further grow is the challenge that is up my alley. Our focus will be to continue on the consolidation and expansion spree."
Prior to joining the Bhaskar Group, Singh was working with Infomedia India as regional head (north operations). His experience in sales and marketing for media and FMCG industries spans across 18 years. After completing his masters from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, Vijay commenced his career with SIEL and later moved to PepsiCo India Holdings Limited, where he was awarded the 'President Ring of Honour' in 2003.
