Big FM elevates Sunil Kumaran as chief operating officer
Big FM, part of the Reliance Broadcast Network, has announced the elevation of Sunil Kumaran as chief operating officer. 
 
He will now spearhead revenue - sales, sales support, revenue maximisation and account planning. He will also head the network’s technical functions, apart from continuing his current responsibility of brand - programming, marketing and solutions and boosting the company’s digital growth. 
 
Prior to this, he was country head at Thwink Big (Big FM’s short-form video and audio talent incubator and marquee content studio). 
 
Kumaran joined the network in 2008, as business head - Karnataka and Kerala. He then left the company in December 2015, to join dentsu’s The StoryLab as country head. 
 
However, Kumaran rejoined Big FM in May 2018, as country head of Thwink Big, before being elevated to his current position.

Kumaran said, “We are going through a transformative time in our journey at Big. Tapping into our strengths, we have embarked on an aggressive growth plan to leverage the opportunities presented by the fast evolving digital landscape. I am happy to move into this role where I get to work with a top-of-the-line cross functional team, to drive this evolution and growth.”
