Cannes 2013: Nineteen entries shortlisted in Design Lions; No show in Cyber and Radio Lions

Ogilvy & Mather has eight shortlists; McCann (4), BBDO (2), Taproot (2), Leo Burnett, JWT and TBWA in the fray

Cannes 2013: Nineteen entries shortlisted in Design Lions; No show in Cyber and Radio Lions

Nineteen entries have been shortlisted in the Design Lions category, while there are no Indian shortlists in the Radio and Cyber Lions competitions.

A total of 234 entries have been shortlisted in the Design Lions category, while Radio and Cyber Lions have 166 and 196 shortlisted entries respectively. 
 
Design Lions

Among Indian agencies, Ogilvy & Mather leads with eight shortlisted entries. The agency’s work for WWF India titled ‘Animal Trees’ has been shortlisted in the ‘Posters’ and ‘Print and Poster Ads’ sub-category. Other shortlisted entries for the agency include ‘Alley’ and ‘George’ for Philips Electronics in the ‘Posters’ sub-category, ‘Psychologist’ for psychologist Saurabh Sarkar in the ‘Small Scale logo and visual identity’ sub-category,
‘Ogilvy Persian and Urdu’ in the ‘Self Promotion’ sub-category, ‘Save Calligraphy’ for Qalamkari Creative Calligraphy Trust in the ‘Advertising Typography’ sub-category and ‘Daylight’ for Philips Electronics in the ‘Design Photography’ sub-category.
 
McCann World Group’s four shortlisted entries for Penguin Group’s Audiobooks include ‘Author Headphones’ in the ‘Posters’ sub-category and three entries ‘Mark Twain’, ‘Oscar Wilde’ and ‘William Shakespeare’ in the ‘Print and Poster ads’ sub-category.
 
BBDO India’s entry ‘Stick It Art’ for Haiyya has been shortlisted in two sub-categories – ‘Flyers, Tickets, Invitations, Postcards, Christmas and Other Greeting cards’ and ‘Calendars, Flyers, Tickets, Invitations, Postcards, Christmas and other greeting cards’.
 
Taproot India has two shortlisted entries for ‘Farmer Suicides’ for The Times of India in the ‘Print and Poster’ and ‘Posters’ sub-categories.
 
Leo Burnett India earned its shortlist for ‘Good Paper Project’ for Cotex Bio Farm Organic Fertiliser in the ‘Sustainable Packaging’ sub-category, while JWT India received a shortlist for ‘Flexiwaist’ for Van Heusen Trousers in the ‘Posters’ sub-category.

TBWA\India gained a shortlist for ‘Wall Cricket’ for Adidas Cricket Gear in the ‘Posters’ sub-category.
