Charles Cadell set to join McCann Worldgroup in new role

Former CEO of Lowe Lintas India, Charles Cadell, has moved within the Interpublic Group (IPG) in a new role as part of McCann Worldgroup’s CEO Nick Brien’s restructuring of the agency. Cadell will be moving to Singapore in his new role as Regional Managing Director South East Asia and Australasia.

Confirming the move to Campaign India, Cadell says his contract with Lowe Lintas had been for a period of three years. Talking about his mandate at Lowe, Cadell says, “The role was to help bed down the organisation post the acquisition, managment shifts and departures as well as setting a path for growth within a future facing company. There are a number of key strategies that have been actioned around which Joe will continue to drive while also imparting his own stamp and vision on the organisation.”

“I am happy with where we have got - but not satisfied. There is so much potential for both the country and Lowe Lintas that one can never do enough. There are things I had wished I had done faster / sooner but then there are other areas where I acted too hastily,” he concedes, adding, “India is so diverse that one needs a longer while than most markets to get ones head around its complexities and decide where to place ones bets. I do know however that we are now well placed with Joe at the helm to capitalise on those opportunities with an organisation that will help him do it.”

Shedding some light on his new role, Cadell says his key mandate will be to support the global World Group imperatives as outlined by Nick Brien in the markets that he oversees. “This includes a focus on the creative product, strategic innnovation and performance measurement all underpinned with a greater sense of collaboration across the Worldgroup companies. The opportunity to work with Nick's drive and vision for a company with the power of McCann WorldGroup across the geographies I know and love was all too good an opportunity to miss.”
