Speaking about the programming initiatives, Ashvini Yardi, head, programming at Colors said, “Until now, we have managed to dominate the prime time and increase our reach considerably. We wanted to expand the time band for original programming and cater new shows to our afternoon audience, especially the housewives. With Saanjhi Dopahar we plan to launch two new shows to make the afternoon viewing more entertaining. Both the shows, Agnipareeksha Jeevan ki…Ganga and Aise Karo Naa Vidaa, deal with extremely strong female protagonists faced with complex situations that our viewers will relate to. We hope the audiences enjoy this new offering from Colors.”

Agnipareeksha Jeevan Ki...Ganga is the story of Ganga, a girl, who is ostracized by society and her stepmother, as they believe her to be cursed. Aise Na Karo Vida is the story of Reva, whose innocence is stolen after she is physically assaulted by the royal prince.
