Creativeland Asia wins big at DMA 2011

CreativelandAsia was the big winner at the Campaign India Digital Media Awards 2011 presented by BBC.com, being awarded four golds and two silvers. The agency received the newly introduced Platinum Award for the agency with the maximum number of winning entries, earning two nominees of Creativeland a trip to attend Campaign Asia’s Digital Media Award in China later this year.

 
Nike was named the BBC.com Digital Marketer of the Year for the maximum number of shortlists and winners for a single brand. Nike’s work was executed by Mindshare India.
 
A total of 19 agencies were on the winner’s list, with the number of entries rising to over 300 this year.
 
The jury for the Digital Media Awards included Habeeb Nizamudin, Lodestar UM, Anil Nair Jr. , Digital Law & Kenneth, Sajan Raj Kurup, CreativelandAsia, Graham Kelly, OgilvyOne, Madan Sanglikar, Mindshare, Max Hegerman, Tribal DDB India, Andrew Knott, Euro RSCG Singapore, Gaurav Mishra, 20:20Social, Jasmin Sohrabji, OMD, Scott Goodson, StrawberryFrog, Neeraj Nayar, Contagious, Maya Hari, Conde Nast Digital, Neeraj Roy, Hungama, Patrick Gardener, Perfect Fools and V Sunil, W+K
 
Interface Business Solutions followed, with two golds, two silvers and a bronze. Tribal DDB won three silvers and a bronze.
 
Creativeland’s wins, predictably, were for Audi A8L (3D Experience)and Hippo (Plan T –Tracking inventory through Twitter), both pieces of communication that have been recognized in all recent creative awards.
 
Interface Business Solutions carried on with the good work done last year for Tata Docomo and Tata Teleservices, both clients being rewarded this year as well.
 
Tribal DDB’s wins included work for Volkswagen (for which parent Mudra has won a number of metals at recent awards) and for the Mudra website.
 
Last year’s agency of the year, Mindshare India , won two golds for Nike (Augmented Reality based in-store experience).
 
The best ad agency category saw just a silver and a bronze, won by 22Feet and Mudra respectively.
 
No metals were awarded in the Digital Brand of the Year category.  
 
The next year will see the integration of the Digital Media Awards across Asian markets, with the winners from the regional awards (including India) finding automatic entry into the Asia award.
