The Dainik Bhaskar group has developed what they call a "one-stop reference source" of useful data called DB Assist. Available on DVD, the Flash-based database has information on many markets in India, including affluence indicators, media consumption patterns and growth trends in readership.

The Dainik Bhaskar group has developed what they call a "one-stop reference source" of useful data called DB Assist. Available on DVD, the Flash-based database has information on many markets in India, including affluence indicators, media consumption patterns and growth trends in readership.

Peter Suresh, senior general manager of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, "The practical utility of DB Assist is its first advantage. Second, it presents cases with empirical evidence of a vibrant, emerging India beyond the traditional metros. Third, it aims to bring alive media metrics."

Sanjeev Kotnala, vice president of Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, "The data is rich, offering some 63 market indices and 40+ economic indices across India which are possible to be seen in different cuts on state or city levels. There is state-specific information including infrastructure, GDP, tourism, festivals etc, in addition to the relevant media interface data. Now it's for the industry to see how well they leverage this database."
