DDB Mudramax Media appoints Amita Karwal EVP - North and East

DDB Mudramax Media has roped in Amita Karwal as executive vice president to head its North and East operations. The responsibility was earlier handled by Anwesh Bose (as SVP and digital head), who put in his papers in February this year.

Prior to the appointment, Karwal led the media marketing function at Samsung.

On her move, Karwal said, “I am very happy to be part of an agency network that offers truly integrated marketing communication solutions.  As a part of DDB MudraMax Media I look forward to leveraging and integrating our assets holistically."

Sathyamurthy Namakkal, president, DDB Mudramax - Media, said, “In an era when the media profession requires well rounded talent, Amita fits the role perfectly. Both our clients and our teams will immensely benefit from her induction into the DDB team."

Kawral has over two decades of experience. Prior to Samsung, she has worked with Reckitt Benckiser, Lintas, Zenith Optimedia and Ogilvy.
